Investing Where We Live, Work, and Play

As REALTORS®, we believe everyone should be proud of their community and have a safe place to call home. That's why RASM members invest in communities where we live, work, and play.

The RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RRCF) is the 501c3 charitable arm of RASM, providing funding for individuals and not-for-profit organizations in the Sarasota and Manatee region that enhance the quality of life in the community. The Foundation was established in 2020 to consolidate RASM’s scholarship and community-giving programs and to have a greater impact in the region.

Help Pave the Path

Investing Where We Live, Work, and Play

MISSION

To support real estate-related charities and housing needs in our community, provide college scholarships to local students, and help our members in need during times of crisis.

VISION

To be a foundation that has a dramatic impact to our members and our local community as the philanthropic arm of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee.

Paving the Path, Brick by Brick

Pave the path toward a brighter future for college-bound students, housing-related non-profits, and REALTORS® in need through your purchase of an engraved brick. All proceeds from the Pave the Path brick campaign go directly toward the 3-pronged mission of the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation. Our Pave the Path campaign gives Individual Members and Firms the opportunity to memorialize their membership with RASM and to leave their legacy in the community through the Foundation.

For a one-time investment starting at $300, an engraved brick is a great way to celebrate your involvement in the real estate community, honor your mentors & colleagues, or memorialize a loved one. Bricks will pave the entrance walkways at RASM South and/or RASM North.

NEWS

Community Grants & Local Partnerships

The RRCF supports local housing-related charitable organizations tackling affordable housing, fighting homelessness, or providing shelter.

According to Florida Realtors®, nearly 905,000 low-income renter households in Florida pay more than 40% of their income on housing costs, and statewide estimates show tens of thousands of individuals and families without stable housing. Our local housing-related charities are working every day to improve housing stability and opportunity in our community.

In 2025, more than $62,000 was donated to local housing-related charities, including:

  • American Red Cross
  • Everyday Blessings, Inc.
  • Freedom Houses
  • Habitat for Humanity Sarasota
  • Manatee Children's Services
  • Salvation Army Sarasota
  • Second Heart Homes
  • The Crossings Ministries
  • The Pines Foundation
  • Turning Points

Community Grants

Scholarships & Education

Sarasota and Manatee schools have over 34,000 students enrolled in high school, with 51% of Sarasota County students and 60% of Manatee County students considered economically disadvantaged.

Whether students are looking to attend a public or private university, community college, or technical school, our Foundation supports tuition costs through needs or merit-based scholarships.

In 2025, the RRCF awarded 21 scholarships to local students; the most in RASM’s scholarship program history.

As a benefit to members of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, half of those scholarships were granted to children or grandchildren of RASM members.

Financial Aid for Members

The Foundation commits to supporting our members when they need it most by providing financial support for RASM members in crisis, such as financial need resulting from the death of a REALTOR®, a medical emergency, or a hurricane.

In 2024, more than $60,000 was dispersed among members who faced financial hardship due to medical emergencies and other difficulties.

“Thank you so much! The grant will be a big help and means a lot. Thank you for being there for us!”

“I am truly grateful for the positive impact your donation has had on my life. Your kindness and support have touched my heart and inspired me to work diligently towards a full recovery.”
